I’m Rebecca Clark

I'm a registered midwife and nurse, accredited baby massage instructor, yoga teacher, antenatal and postnatal yoga trainer, infant sleep consultant, neurolinguistic practitioner, and National Secretary of CAPEA - Childbirth and Parenting Education Australia.

I'm currently working as the Childbirth Education Facilitator and Coordinator at the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children.

I've been with my loving partner for 22 years and we have two beautiful daughters aged two and four. We happily call Canberra home with our ever-growing menagerie of animals!

My experience in sleep training was inspired by my second daughter's difficulties with sleeping through the night; at 12 months she was waking up to 5 times a night and it could take her up to 2 hours to settle.

The whole family was struggling during the pandemic, especially my partner who was working from home full time with a baby and toddler - we definitely needed more than just 4 hours of broken sleep to make it work!

I resisted sleep training at first, thinking I should know all the tricks being a midwife, but I eventually sought help from a sleep consultant who gave me techniques to help Gracie sleep and importantly, how to self settle.

Through my training as an infant sleep consultant, I have learned that by teaching our children how to self-settle, we are equipping them with a skill that will be beneficial to them for the rest of their lives.

After only four days of using these sleep solutions, we all had a restful night! It was so peaceful and we all felt much better for it - our daughter was happier, more alert and less irritable and my partner and I could start to think more clearly again.

Once we got back on a regular sleep schedule, we realised how much of a difference it made. We were able to recharge our batteries and become better parents for our girls and better partners for each other, instead of relying on coffee to get us through the day.

Drawing on my experience, I'm passionate about assisting families to reach their highest potential, to really flourish and not just get by.

I'm eager to share my expertise so that your family can benefit for the long-term.

I consider myself so very lucky to have two amazing daughters (4 and 2 years old) who are strong, intelligent, social, inquisitive and humorous. My partner has been by my side for more than 20 years and has inspired me to be the best version of myself. To top it off, we have a loveable pup named Sunshine, a mischievous cat called Twilight, and two temperamental laying chickens!
